Artic Circle Fun

When Jaxen comes home from school on Friday and sees my car outside he knows that it is Suzi's week with him. He comes inside yelling "Sue," I, of course, hide. Then I hear him making comments to himself as he is walking around "well I bet she is on the computer" "she must be downstairs" at this point the game has gone long enough so I quietly say "no" to the downstairs comment and he wirls around to see me behind the kitchen counter. This begins the fun he knows he is about to have.

I think that the best place to people watch is at anyone of the fast food play places around. You have the parents/grandparents that are yelling at all the kids to follow the rules so no one will get hurt, the kids of course are ignoring them, then there is the parents that have to walk around making sure their youngest is okay, even though the youngest is waaaaay past the toddler stage and can handel it themselves, then there are the brave parents who sit in the lobby and watch thier kids through the window, yelling kids is not their forte, then there are the lazy ones, like me, who just sit and watch. The kids all have an unspoken rule in their land of freedom away from the adults. In this place of freedom it is believed that there is a bond amongst the parents/ aunts (me)/ grandparents that it is okay to interact with one another since our charges are interacting with one another. I find this amusing but true. While at the play place everytime I try and take a bit of my salad I hear "Sue watch this" then I stop but he won't move unless he has all of my attention, and he continually checks to see if I am, in fact, watching. We can only leave when and if his friend that he made while playing is leaving with his family as well. No matter what I love hanging out with him since Tyler no longer is my cuddly little boy. :(
